I actually find anything even from ps2/gamecube era to be difficult to stomach. Not that games at that time and before weren't classics... Obviously they were or the game industry would never have grown like it did to begin with. I agree with adjl in that it depends on the game. I remember the last time I played Twilight Princess I was bored with their attempt to set up a story. It spent a long time with cutscenes and trivial tasks just for the sake of setting up the story when I just wanted to start playing.
