The only way you could possibly make it good is a complete overhaul of the structure and the story of the game. Code Veronica also has next to no relevance to the rest of the series; all that really comes out of it is Chris knowing Wesker is alive (which is only relevant for RE5, which gives you a different flashback letting you know that Chris knows that Wesker is alive), Chris reuniting with Claire (which... never, ever comes up again?), and C-Virus zombies and monsters in 6 having a fire effect on them.
