It's extremely hard to open people up and once you do it's a 40% combo, or if you want to actually attack you could just pick Rufus or Kazuya, two of the most annoying characters. Online is just awful, you see the same people over and over again with the same shotos and Mishimas.

yeah that all sounds about right. people complain that it's hard to get in, but also that anti-airs suck. and that it's a defensive game but there's braindead offense with crossups and standing jab pressure and weird mixups that don't look right and those all lead to big damage. in truth all of those things are there. it's hard to open people up but once you do big damage is the result. it sets up a weird dynamic where a 99 second round is decided in a short amount of time, often off one or two mistakes. it just doesn't feel good.

as far as the DLC goes supposedly they were trying to keep people interested throughout the year. just when you forgot about this game, here's 3 new color packs! I think the big takeaway from SFxT DLC is the big PR hits Capcom keeps taking because of it.

Good to know the high level play are as bad as my initial personal experience and secondhand experience through streams suggested! I think it is possibly the most disappointing big name fighter I've seen from Capcom.
