You do know there were bridges, buildings, rocks, and grass in the original, right? Midgar and Junon and shit resemble their other appearances. When a fight breaks out around Choco Ranch, you don't see a ton of clutter. Or around Midgar when fighting robots and soldiers. The game shows you what the area looks like in cutscenes and battles. It's never a busy mess like this pic. I'm not saying Remake/birth looks bad, but it's not necessarily an upgrade if you like what FF7 is.
