I LOVE THESE!
The bottle really adds to the flavor, drink it from the bottle!
Yeah I like them from the bottle but it's a lot to drink, so I just make sure to use glass cups.

Why the glass bottles? The company explains that:

It's for product/brand recognition, associating the contents of the bottle with celebration, etc.

It's not a "cheap low-class alternative to wine" and no one treats it that way. The alternative to expensive/high-class alcohol is cheap alcohol, not fizzy juice. That said, sparkling cider was popularized be Prohibition and was a way for companies that produced alcohol to survive Prohibition, but this meant that it was diametrically opposed to alcohol, not a true substitute, and indeed, advertisements for it went out of their way to point out that it was good for celebrations where people did not want alcohol, NOT for occasions where you had no money, lmao.
