It's always interesting how celebrities turned active politicians are almost always Republicans (see Reagan and Trump for the biggest examples). It's almost like rich people love the Republican party. The funny thing is that celebrities who are political but don't try to run as a politician are mostly left wing. It's like that extra step of leveraging their popularity to become a politician tends to be from the conservative celebrities.
