It's a mixed bag. I think there are a lot of good voice actors here, but maybe the directing isn't great?

I think it's wild that Cloud is doing what he is, I guess people are used to it now but he just sounds so bored all the time.

For most of the cast, it's a common issue with mediocre dub direction that even when the VAs are good, a lot of characters don't sound like they're talking to each other a lot of the time. Barrett's is really good and manages to avoid this, so does Red XIII. But, like....Tifa and Aerith only have one mode, all the time. The characters don't pull off emotion well. I have 2 chapters left, but this was a problem in Remake as well and I don't expect it to change.

It stands out way more without Jessie being around all the time, since Erica Lindbeck is one of the best VAs in the industry and she was far and away the best performance in Remake.
