Same for me, but more hours. I played the first 'season' to death. I liked the new setup of 5v5 and really got into some of the new emotes and such. Hanzo eating sushi is such a good way to disrespect while pushing the payload.

But... then the new season started, and I realized all my grinding in the first season went to waste once I finished the main battlepass, and now they expect me to do that much grinding again just to unlock some mediocre, predetermined skins?

Fuck that, give me lootboxes back.

Lootboxes were way more grinding, especially when you were trying to get all the event items before the event ended. With the battle pass system I just play a couple games a day for fun and by the end of the season I am far beyond the level 80 and I don't even buy the battle pass until I earned enough coins from the weeklies.

The system is meant to be most efficient when you are playing consistently each day rather than just a straight grind. Which is my preferred way to play games. Grinding over and over is just something I won't do.

Don't get me wrong, OW2 has a lot wrong with it and the game is garbage compared to how it started but the problem isn't the amount of time to reach the end of the battle pass. Still though, it is a fun and polished FPS that I have yet to find a better experience with albeit still looking. I like a nice change of pace high intensity game to go along with my dialogue heavy RPGs I am typically playing.
