A group a long long time ago did try to make a 3d remake of the game, but it was obviously shut down by lawyers. Japanese companies are especially stupid about these things and instead of hiring these people and buying and finishing their game and making it official, they destroyed it and sat on the IP. --- He who stumbles around in darkness with a stick is blind.
