REMINDER: I am starting a new job tomorrow, 3/11. It's a big boy 8am to 5pm type of deal where I have to wear a nice shirt and shoes and my pants must be ironed.

Because I will no longer be bumming around after getting laid off, I won't be free in the mornings to do this, and depending on how work-intensive this job is, I may shift how often I do these.

I'm having a ton of fun with this topic series and I think you guys are too, so I am going to do my best to keep this going daily.

However, I will be switching to posting new Rushmores at night instead of the morning, meaning today's Rushmore will effectively be running from now until tomorrow night.

HAPPY MARIO DAY! I realized we had only 3 nominations ever for Mario 64 levels but 4 nominations for Mario Games, so I swapped them so that the more requested one was actually on Mario Day.

YESTERDAY: Not much of a competition despite the huge variety of entries submitted. Most people would post Green Hill Zone, one of the other three on the Rushmore, then 2 songs they personally liked.

There was actually a tie between Chemical Plant and Super Sonic Racing for a while, then someone posted something like "why isn't Chemical Plant doing better" and then it started getting way more votes. Not sure if it was a coincidence or if the callout actually did something, but SSR got almost no votes after that point.

A good performance from Drowning, which is iconic in its own way, and is definitely the one song on the Video Game Drowning Music Mount Rushmore.
