The thing is, I refuse to live under a Christian version of Iran, so the fighting would be a lot more than just political, which is admittedly what it takes to overthrow a fascist regime, but tbh I don't love it that much.

If America falls into active turmoil, the whole world goes with it. Nowhere will be safe (for long).

This is fair, all I can say is maybe it won't happen or it will become irrelevant anyways.

However, there are glaring problems with the U.S. that make me want to get out of it and would still persist even if the GOP imploded tomorrow. There's a lot of societal sickness and attitudes in this nation that I just don't gel with and don't match my values. This country handles certain things with such asininity that any other nation that could call itself our political peer looks on in horror. I don't think it's wrong to want to live in a sane nation with a populace that isn't focused on self-destruction and seeking to hinder their neighbor out of jealously for not being able to personally benefit from said aid.

No disrespect, but the majority of big countries that would accept you based on a degree either have conservative governments right now, or likely will in the near future. Basically your options would be Germany, or Germany.

Yes, Germany was what I was planning on using as an entry point to the greater European Union Network. Ultimately I'd like to end up in Iceland, if they would have me. I'm also thinking about teaching English abroad and weighing which countries allow that as a pathway to citizenship. As stated previously, I am a poor planner.
