Try going out into the middle of the outback and reverse how you view it in the sense of someone saying that they would also like some hot weather and isolation: that's essentially what your statements are comparable to.

It's definitely possible to be too cold. But it's objective fact that when faced with hot or cold, the latter is easier to deal with (warm fire works, taking off your shirt and putting on a fan doesn't, and even air conditioners struggle when it's 40+ celcius).
