as a whole they do but if even 1/10 vote for biden or just don't vote at all it makes trumps chances vanishingly small. the ec favors republicans, but the american electorate favors democrats and democrats always win when turnout is high or if the gop candidate doesn't capture a significant portion of independent voters.

the best predictor we have for '24 is the past few elections. we have seen how trump and his ideas perform at the ballot box and it is very poor.

also abortion will always be on the ballot with trump running since he killed abortion rights. abortion is still incredibly popular across the board and among women it is a higher priority and even more popular.

it's depressing that trump has any path at all, but the media feeds off of making him look more formidable than he is. biden will have to fumble the bag badly in some way to lose
