like, im not ignorant of what's happened in tx and florida, but this bill just seems so fucking dumb i cant see it passing even in those states. I admit i know nothing about MO.

Missouri doesn't see trans rights at protected the same way other classes, thus not giving trans people the same constitutional protections. If anything, I almost feel like this would be better pitched as a free speech issue as far as the US or Missouri Constitutions would be concerned.

I do wonder if the bill would be strictly applying the use of a certain pronoun as amounting to providing non-material support for social transitioning, especially when the punishment is losing the right to vote and having to register as a sex offender. It's worded very conveniently ambiguously, but obviously is problematic whatever way it would be applied.
