ok, the SOLDIER here was actually Zack, not Cloud. And Cloud was just a guard there. I remember thatbut why doesnt Tifa speak up when Cloud is telling the story to say hey, that wasnt you. Was her memory messed with too?
I believe the assumption was that Tifa knew it was all fucked up, but she was afraid to speak up because she was afraid of breaking his brain further. So she wanted to keep an eye on her, that and Cloud saved her after being grievously wounded so her memory could be fucked with, too.
