I wondered what "top donor" meant. Which apparently doesn't mean shit. $100,000 to fight off the Republican recall, and nearly $65,000 for his reelection. Which is a lot of money, to me. But not to campaigns, it seems. To put it into some perspective, Reed Hastings (Netflix cofounder and CEO) donated $3.1 million to Newsom's recall defense.
