Topic	New Twisted Metal game cancelled

There were a few handheld titles after that which I think did alright. It is weird to me that this particular genre niche hasn't really been attempted though. Like not even necessarily a single-player "campaign" with goofy and/or fucked up stories like TM had, just a vehicular arena combat game. Looking it up it looks like the series stuck around the 1-2 million mark for 1, 2, 3 and Black. Then flopped on the PS3. Sony did try out Destruction All-Stars which I suppose was supposed to be a spiritual successor. That flopped bad. Wonder why they just didn't make that into Twisted Metal? Probably would have still flopped but surely it would have done at least a little better. Personally I liked Destruction Derby more than Twisted Metal.
