I'll usually defend fine dining as a concept (and people are flat out wrong about "tiny portions"), but this was just not it.

The food was good but I'm pretty sure 80% of the price tag was wrapped up in pomp. it was very classic french service, with an entire freakin' family tree history given for each glass of wine. The food was a lot of foam stuff. The entire experience actually seemed...dated?

It cost me $700 for two people, and I've honestly had more interesting dining experiences for half that.

Maybe I'm just jaded by fine dining at this point. But I dunno, looking around the other tables I started to think that this was just a place for wealthy bored boomers to have some regular weeknight food.
