My main issue with Katakuri is that while he's a pretty good character, he literally just comes out of nowhere at the end of the arc to give Luffy a 1v1 that isn't against Big Mom. All we got prior to his introduction was a brief name drop. I couldn't feel satisfied with Luffy vs. Katakuri being the climax of the arc because there was no set up to the character at all. They really should have introduced him earlier. Yeah, I was fully expecting Luffy to fight Big Mom at the end, and it was several episodes into the Katakuri fight before I even realized he was the "final boss" of the arc.
