Tech people scaring other tech people into buying into these things in fear of being left behind, like always. And then normal people dont care about it as much, or it turns out the voice AI you heard was actually scripted or impersonated by a troll. Then they move on to the next thing. Im just waiting until teleportation becomes the big grift. Or time control.
