A bit overblown and overstated. It's not a good movie, but reviews are glorifying how bad it is a little bit. It's more of a shrug your shoulders affair I felt, perhaps I am difficult to offend in the realm of cinema. There have been much, much worse films that never get the spotlight on them though. Again, I have not seen this yet because I'm not confusing Sony by giving them money for this... But I love me some C and D horror movies. I believe you do too. For me, there 100% is a wraparound effect where some movies can become so-bad-they're-good for one reason or another. Everything I've read so far seems to say that this thing only inspires apathy, which (to me) is the worst of all worlds. It's bad in all the non-fun ways and just cripplingly nothing in all the others. And yeah this one definitely has a bigger spotlight on it because it is Marvel adjacent and Sony wants these to become a thing. It's Sony's fetch. I just enjoy me some good schadenfreude at a dumb corpo's expense. --- If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? #theresafreakingghostafterus ...
