Literally one of the arguments the "good guys with guns" crowd uses is that they can stop stuff like this from even happening in the first place, and this guy is one of them. So he uses it as an argument but can't stand up for his own ideology.

Just like every other person that spouts "good guys with guns" rhetoric.

If you can't stand up for your own ideology you shouldn't be using that as one of you primarily arguments.

If the threat is right at your face, then yeah I can understand the idea of teaching what you preach and fire back.
But if you have ever gone to any type of training or school in regards to guns, they will teach you that a handgun is best used as a defensive weapon. Because if you try to fight against an assault rifle with your handgun, you are very likely to lose.
I dont know if you have seen some of the mass shooting videos online, but its usually law enforcement with assault rifles that neutralize the threat.
So again, if a man who conceal carries a handgun, going out of his way to be a hero, to look for a shooter or multiple shooters, whom probably have much for firepower, is very foolish.
