I forget what it's actually called, but it's probably because it was "traced" from this scene of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

How do people find this?

Like, "Here's the exact shot that Indiana Jones lifted from Zorro" or "Here's the Batman pose that was traced from a Tarzan illustration."

I kinda get people recognizing something like Disney's Robin Hood reusing the dance animation from Snow White. Those are both Disney properties. If you watched the films back to back, you might pick up on the same dance.

But how do people hold an exact image in their memory like that to be able to track down when or how someone has plagiarized someone else's work? (Or "paid homage" to it?)
