Still either industry can be shitty you're right. Heinous things happens behind the scenes. What I was basing my view on was everything. How idols are generally treated, how fans react, how media portrays and invades their lives, what public opinions and expectations are.

From what I've gathered Korean music industry is hugely monopolized by a few companies which churn out the most perfected idols. Whilst the Japanese industry is full of the most popular groups such as the Sakamichi, AKB, =Love, Zoc, Bish to the mid range like Kamiyado to the most underground scenes like Sakura Cinderella and Necromonidol.

What I'm trying to say is generally the Japanese idol scene is more relaxed with groups that arent perfectly trained and recently tabloids like Bunshun havent been up the idols asses lately. Heres hoping it stays that way.

Whilst in Korea you have the most rabid fans who even invade idols lives like setting up secret cameras in their changing rooms. Hell even check social media like Twitter and you'll see how bad kpop fans are "comparatively" (I say comparatively because you still get insane wotas now and then).

Again you're right about the behind the scenes, both industries have disgusting secrets. But I'm mostly talking about the general scene overall.
