Yeah I dont get idol culture, but Japanese chicks are still hot tho The idol culture or groups are primarily based on the school systems. You have kohais, senpais, 1st gens, 2nd gens, 3rd gens, graduations ect ect. A majority of idols are aged from 18-30 (or even older) and there are some that start at around 13 or 14 like Yamasaki Ten and Hirate Yurina respectively. Japan celebrates youth through idol culture and more recently the term "idol" has been expanded to include even more people.
