And Im only using that video in direct response to that other topic, seeing as no one responded the first time I used it. Surely you cant be naive as to think there arent innocent Palestinians that want Hamas gone? Just like there are people who support Israels right to exist and want the hostages brought home while at the same time want Bibi and his right wing cronies out of office.

There are no aces in the hole with this conflict. Its simply the worst atrocity of our time. But as long as one side continues to point the finger at Israel as being soley to blame for this catastrophe, there will be others like me who will remind you how we got here and demand that the hostages be released now. If Hamas were really interested in saving Palestinian lives, they would do it no questions asked. As long as they keep those hostages, Israel has all the leverage to keep the war going.

Of course there are Palestinians that want hamas gone, most of the population wasn't even able to vote in the last election held and the circumstances around that election weren't good either. We all want hamas gone. Two major issues with your argument though:

1) Committing genocide is not the way to go about doing it. This is israel's only approach because...

2) netanyahu and the rest of the scumbags elevated hamas specifically for this purpose. They want Palestinians gone and they will commit and let happen the worst atrocities to reach their goal.

Given these two points, saying "but hamas" is fallacious in this situation.
