I'd try a card/board game shop. There's plenty of overlap with folks there regarding things that you enjoy, and most people I've met at one are very friendly. We had one around twenty minutes away when I was younger, but it's been closed for a very long time now. I'm not sure where the next closest one is... either way, what would you do there?
