When the overworld is basically just a map that you can only move along a line and cannot deviate from the line? I'd argue it does not count. It's essentially exactly the same as in BoF IV just with a different visual aesthetic.

Chrono Trigger has a far more robust world map than Breath of Fire III.

I argue there's little reason to need that speed in the game, fun bit about all this focus on Rei is that it's subjective so I don't know why people are going so hard on it.

If I had to choose between Rei and the Fou Lu plotline existing in the series? I'd without a second doubt yeet Rei into oblivion. I also feel Teepo was completely wasted in BoF III, they could have done so much more with him.
