Applications would get stuck and not download and then that'd cause Windows Update to fail. The only solution was to reinstall Windows. From then, I swore never to use the Windows Store if I could help it. And the Xbox app uses the Windows Store. I'd be more willing to use it if it was a standalone application and not baked into the operating system.
