My main concerns heading in were the scale of the maps and avoiding the corridor feeling of Midgar. I wanted interactive maps that don't feel too restrictive.

And damn this demo knocked both of those things out of the park. So many instances in this demo I was blown away by thr shere scale of everything. I couldn't believe how big the world map was when I first pulled it up, and being even more impressed when realizing this is only the Nibbleheim region. When I first gained control of Cloud with Tifa as a guide, I saw a barn/shed in the distance off the path. I was pleasantly surprised that not only are youc free to explore that area, the terrain along the way was dynamic and vibrant. Im having so much fun exploring the maps in this game.

My only complaint so far is the jumping animations seem a little off and clunky imo. Other than that, I can't find much to complain about. The minigames are already consuming my time (had to ace Tifa's theme on piano before doing anything else) Nibbleheim is full of life, and of course the music and graphics are top notch.
