The man expressed he had no intention of leaving his wife. Doesn't matter how you view marriage. At the end of the day it's a legally binding oath. Miss [enter country name here] is a title that you receive based on the merits of your appearance and character. She won under the false pretense of having a character deemed as adequate. People are within their rights to revoke their acceptance based off her unethical decision to knowingly disturb the legal contract between another couple and in addition lie about it to multiple degrees when confronted.
