Yeah, that's my point. You brought it up to show that border security is doing great because of all the apprehensions. But all record apprehensions shows is that they're letting in a record amount of people. It has nothing to do with security.

The bipartisan bill would have, among other things, increased our system's capacity to process asylum claims at a more reasonable clip. Republicans shot it down because they don't want to fix the problem they'd rather campaign on.
No it wouldn't. It adds zero new judges and just speeds up the initial screening and Title 42 type removal.

The NY Times just reported the other day that even if they were to add 1k more judges, the current backlog still wouldn't be complete till 2032. If the system is overwhelmed, you stop, and it's clear several systems involved in this are overwhelmed.
