rather than have a bunch of people unalive themselves in gruesome ways, why can't we just have death doulas or something to ease people into it safely and painlessly rather than let people turn into shells from Alzheimer's or cancer, why can't doctors just ease their suffering? it's stupid and backwards. obviously not any sad person should be able to just ask for it, but it really should be easier than it currently is (which is basically impossible in the U.S.) --- while you slept, the world changed ...
