that sucks. ive had similar stuff happen to me...

i had to basically tell them to gf themselves and not take the job. really sucks.

your gonna have to talk to the person who told you that you would get the raise.

at the end of the day: shitty people are shitty.

I (also) had a job and was told i would get a bump after training...they didnt bump me I had to "complain." they'd promise me raises if i took on responsibilities, and then the manager would talk to the boss and they would get walked back. i quit that shitty job but i needed it at the time.

edit: the other time was GameStop. They promised me like 12 bucks an hour and said i was interviewing for "3rd key" to move up to manager quickly. I had a college degree, freshly earned, and it was 2007. After all the paperwork they told me "well, actually it's just a reg position and it's 7.25 an hour."

so i didnt take that job; i was so pissed.
