You're far more likely to get hit by another car while you're out in the road changing the tyre than pounced on by a roaming serial killer. Thats not the point. A car breaking down in a bad spot and needing to put in a spare is a survival skill in modern day. Be it extreme weather or a violent person. You never know when youll need to change a tire. Swimming is still a survival skill. You cant just say Well, Im never near water, so I dont need it.
