Just watched a couple "tips" videos and there is seemingly so much shit going on in this game It probably seems more overwhelming than it is because you watched a tips video with no other context, the game explains all of this stuff just fine. You split your time between exploring dungeons/jrpg battles and hanging out with people and doing real world stuff. If you enjoy social sims and jrpg combat, then you'll probably enjoy it.
