I mean, it seems like a major plot hook is that she can't do magic but still thinks she can be the best by her skill and determination alone. It's a good message, if a bit cliche. But giving her magic at all completely defeats that entire premise.

I dunno. I hope they get funded 'cause I like when artists get to create what they're passionate about. Just seems like the plot is kinda weak at the moment and that doesn't get me excited to see it made.
