49ers receive: Giants 1st round pick (30th overall) Giants S20 5th round pick Giants receive: 49ers 5th round pick (135 overall) 49ers S20 1st round pick 49ers S20 3rd round pick The 49ers have been seeking an additional first round pick under a first-time GM, and they get one while parting with multiple Top 100 picks next season. The Giants have been seeking ways to cut costs after "overbudgeting" and getting rid of the cap hit of a 1st rounder this year will certainly help. They get back another first next year that has an excellent chance of being at a higher position as well as another Top 100 pick.
