Even drowning that in ranch sauce isn't enough to make me choke down a salad from a diner every single day. I don't understand this trope on TV. Like maybe a chicken salad at least has some protein in there. A roast potato salad can be good. But otherwise... I'd sooner starve than eat what tv people that order "the salad" eat I sometimes order chef salads. That is when it's got substantial protein in it too.
