Transferring your stuff to a new iPhone is really easy. You just scan a QR code on one iPhone to the other. If you want something unlocked without going through a carrier you can buy them unlocked from Apple. Close to Black Friday Target usually has $100 Apple gift cards that come with $15 Target cards. Best Buy usually has the deal as well. I prefer unlocked phones.
