The Two Dragons Sword is fucking crazy >_> the R2 parry is you playing a different game.

It was a good game if you like Fromsoft games. They did a really good job of emulating what works about those games in terms of setting, atmosphere, design, and appearance. While there's also hints of the studio's individuality that I'd like to see teased out in a future title.

An unexpectedly great feature was the record system.

Every single one of these was a banger I never knew I wanted to hear until I did.

The game can be lacking in enemy variety. It's also almost completely linear compared to Fromsoft games, which can make bosses feel like absolute brick walls with no choice but to learn their whole moveset. That was a hard adjustment especially after Elden Ring.

Some bosses might be overtuned. The Swamp Monster and The Complete have some real 'fuck you' phase 2s.

On the other hand, the instigator of most of the plot and arguable main villain was pretty easy IMO and his design forgettable.

The world of Lies of P is a big part of what's so attractive to it. You have these interlocking mysteries - Puppet Frenzy, Petrification Disease, Carcasses, Alchemists, Stars - and from them you genuinely wonder how this world works and the significance of your Lies for example.

I can't believe there's a Revolver Ocelot post credits scene with Giangio. Of all the things I may have guessed, I did not anticipate him setting up the Fairytales Ludo Universe.

There are some other weird uses of characters IMO. I don't know what they had going with Black Cat and Fox. Belle feels like cut content? She's the only character who comes to the hotel who offers no utility to the player.

I thought I was pretty thorough exploring, but I never put together why Gepetto caused the Puppet Frenzy. For that matter, I have no idea why the Alchemists kidnapped Gepetto, which creates a reason for you to go find and defeat them when they would've been inaccessible. I'm genuinely think maybe he kidnapped himself? And he always had use of the passage way given his previous ties to them. That would explain why Cat and Fox both insist they were promised no harm, but wouldn't explain why Laxasia put up with it.
