I say it's irrelevant because the series introduced it under the premise that the only way to achieve peak power is to utilize and master God chi. God chi is supposed to be such a tier above anything that when regular chi is compared to it it's like being an ant at the base of a mountain and trying to fathom the peak. Well despite the fact that Goku and Vegeta are the only ones using this divine source of power, literally everyone they fight still manages to put the hurt on them anyways. God chi ain't worth the hype if all Frieza has to do is do a few push-ups for a few months and he's at God chi tier without having God chi.
