Let's be fair, barely any games will sell as much as GTA or Mario kart, so I'd argue they are making a comeback. Let's be honest, they lost popularity in the ps3/xbox 360 era because past generations had too many of them, they are making a comeback. It seems the BG3 sales were outdated as well and it sold over 20 millions on steam alone.
