Wasn't there a case recently where a murderer was in the hospital for injuries and just straight up escaped and it led to a manhunt? I think that was US and this is Canada. But still, WTF is going on? Why aren't they treating these monsters like dangerous criminals that need constant restraint and/or monitoring, just because they have some boo-boos?

This happened in the Washington state, US. She was just driven to Canada to fly back to China since US authorities would have stopped her at the airport most likely.
