Yeah everyone seems to like Revelations 1 more than me. Maybe I'm too hard on it, but upon replaying it I was just really frustrated with the combat. The dodge mechanic is terrible and enemy variety wasn't great. Story was pretty awful with a lot of characters and additions that didn't fit Resident Evil imo. The overall summary of the game is still very cool. Jill, Chris, spooky boat adventures filled with monsters. But the side characters almost all suck, there's a ridiculous amount of fake out deaths, everything to do with Terragrigia.

Game just left a sour taste in my mouth and my opinion on it's gone down over time. Probably would have landed in C Tier after my first playthrough on the 3DS.

Revelations 2 I absolutely loved though and wasn't expecting to. Gameplay is very tight (with a super useful and fully functioning dodge), good enemy variety, interesting story and episodic gimmick. Even the new characters introduced felt totally in place with the series. Felt like a sequel to RE5 honestly.
