They think "criminals" deserve everything that comes to them, until they are the ones subjected to it. I dont think its necessarily political. The majority of people seem to have a misguided understanding of crime and the justice system, and the media absolutely feeds into that. Not to mention the Overton window makes certain crime very difficult to talk about without people letting their emotions run high and dishonestly accusing you of sticking up for monsters. --- "The US is not a single country.
