The whole situation with the re-founding of Israel in 47' was pretty messed up, and there are a lot of fair arguments on both sides. The one thing that isn't really debated, is that Jerusalem and the surrounding lands have been in perpetual conflict for thousands of years. It's highly doubtful that things would be any better there if it never happened. A lot of people don't know that Einstein was offered the presidency of Israel in 1952, but declined it. Makes you wonder what things would be like if he'd accepted. It probably wouldn't have been world changing, but it's still fun to speculate. --- Most people are other people.
