Its not eliminating the hobby. Its saying you cant play whatever your current 30 favorite franchises are. Do you have any idea how many franchises there are? There would still be plenty to play, and that would just be the kick I need to finally start new franchises like Kiseki. Do you realize how much ground "top 30" would cover? Like the TC said, you can't play anything that even includes a character from one of your top 30 as a guest. If Marvel or DC is in your top 30, that also takes away Mortal Kombat, a shit ton of mobile games, Lego games, etc. If Mario is in your top 30, you can't play ANY spin-off, Smash, etc. I think it's easy to underestimate just how much ground "top 30" covers. And if you cover too much ground, you start to get into series that... You didn't play them much for a reason. EDIT: Personally, I can't even name my top 30, which tells me it probably covers so much ground that, by the time I get to what's left, I'd be out of games I'm interested in playing, or atleast nearly so.
