As a child who grew up with two parents who despised each other, and stayed together because of their kids, I assure you: it's not actually better to live with two people who actively hate each other They're separated now and both significantly happier, and I'd have been just fine without having to wonder if tonight was the night one of them would kill the other or themselves when I went to sleep --- ADHD/ASD/Non-Binary. they/them.
