4. Red Eye (Amazon Prime... for a few more hours)

Another movie I snuck in right before it went off the platform. No idea what this will land on!

Red Eye is a film by the legend Wes Craven where Rachel MacAdams plays an overworked girl boss hotel manager who boards a plane. The man in the seat next to her, played by Cillian Murphy, then threatens to kill her father unless she gets a political figure to change rooms so he can be assassinated.

It's a simple but thrilling premise, and it's executed extremely well, just like most Wes Craven movies. It helps that Rachel MacAdams and Cillian Murphy are both outstanding actors. Cillian Murphy, in particular, is an outstanding villain in this. He's basically a master class on how to be a good villain. Their dynamic that fuels the movie works extremely well.

It's extremely interesting too to watch how MacAdams' character tries to find ways out of her situation. The final act culminates everything rather well, allowing for a thrilling conclusion to end this wild adventure.

This movie is also supported by the minor characters being very entertaining as well. It adds charm to the universe of this movie that I feel wouldn't be as entertaining without them.

Overall, this movie is a simple thrill ride that I don't ultimately have too much to say about. It's great. Go watch it. You won't be disappointed!
